Monthly Specials -- May

The May Kit of the Month celebrates one of my favorite yearly hallmarks: the arrival of strawberry season. Over the last month or so here in Hattiesburg, we've been eating the most delicious Louisiana strawberries. And all year I've been having fun opening the new SamSarah Baubles. If you haven't tried one yet, this will be a great introduction to the series (it's June Baubles, by the way.) Nine strawberries in lovely shades of Sampler Threads and Weeks Dye Works are embellished with little blossoms. It stitches up lickety-split on Newport linen which has got its own little dividing lines built right in (so little counting involved!) With the kit, you get:

And, of course there are SIX other Baubles out so far (just got July). The charts are $5.00 each, and button pack prices vary. I also run this series as an auto, so you can get these as they come out (in fact, you could start with this one, and then just get one a month for the next year...I can just wrap you around.) Anyway, the Kit of the Month this month is $38.00. And if you'd like the frame, it's $24.25 (in fact, you could get just the one frame, and pop each month's Baubles in and out, if you like.) Very cute series, and really excited about this one. Here are the others so far (below):

The Free Chart of the Month (with any order) is the next in the Teapot Series (also by Patti of SamSarah/Just Another Button Company fame.) The June Teapot is very bee skep like and has got big cabbage roses on it, too. Decorated with buttons, it's a sweet addition to your stitching pile. If you would like the supplies, they are:

Total kit price is $34.32. If you'd like past months' charts and supplies, I still have them here. If you are going to request a past graph, though, you will need to purchase at least one item needed to complete that design (like the button pack or the fabric), as the charts are handed out free one per month. Get on the auto -- again, this is something I can wrap you around on (and start now, finishing in April of next year), if you haven't joined yet.

The Fabric of the Month is Mocha 30 count hand-dyed linen by Weeks Dye Works. This is a great shade of fabric if you like to stitch samplers, although I can also see this working really well for a lot of things, as a light chocolate brown is a practical base fabric color. Quarter yards are $17.00 this month (you can get a half yard for $34.00 and a whole yard for $68.00).

Other Specials

Thread Gatherer Grab Bags: I picked up a bunch of these at market and have just five left -- they're grab bags full of Thread Gatherer fibers, and each one includes at least two full skeins of Silk N Colours (which are $6.80 per skein retail) and about five other skeins of various Thread Gatherer fibers. Just $10.00 while supplies last. Some threads are labeled as to color and type, and some are not, but they are neatly bundled.

I've had these guys around a while -- time to move them into your house. They're so cute! Hand-painted magnet boards that come with a doorknob style embellishment at the top. They come with a hanger for the back to put on your wall. They're metal and painted, and you can stitch magnets to put on them, or just hang them and use your own magnets. Choose from the following color combinations: Brown/Pink, Green/Pink, Black/Red, Black/Tan, or Gold/Red. (Shown is the Brown/Pink). These were $48.00 each -- I'll send you one for $15.00 plus shipping. Move 'em out!

Lakeside Linens 30-piece Ornament Packs -- get THIRTY pieces of hand-dyed linen, minimum size 6 by 6 inches, perfect for ornaments and little precious things, for just $40.00 (just over $1.00/piece!) While supplies last -- mixed counts and colors (I can't pick and choose for you -- you get what you get!)

Stitcher's Six Packs: In a Six Pack, you get six pieces of linen and/or evenweave for just $4.95. These are great for ornaments and small needlework pieces, fobs and fancy little things. What you get is a surprise -- how many do you dare pick up? Also available in Aida packs (more limited).

Bits & Pieces by Gloriana: $7.00 each. In each packet, you get a mixture of complimentary threads -- fun! It's like a grab bag of gorgeous silks and silk ribbons. These are the result of dye lot ends, research and development and some seconds. Get as many as you dare. I'll make sure you get different color packets. Pictured above is an example of what came in ONE packet. So, you can see they're a good deal. Colors and fibers vary.
