Make Do #7: Thorny Bramble:

This kit comes with linen and threads -- EXCEPT for the berry colour. You choose your favorite color of berries to sprinkle in the thorny bramble. Kit is $14.00. About the Make Do's: You can sign up to get these automatically, and your 12th will be free. Or you can just them up as you need them. Each kit will be a "Make Do," which means each time, you'll have to dig through your stash and find something to complete the project.


This Month's Sampler Kit of the Month is Farm House, a lovely new graph by Blackbird Designs. They're releasing 12 of these this year (this happens to be number five.) You can order them all, but if you haven't been, why not try one out. With the kit, you'll get 30 ct. hand-dyed linen (Irish Cream) and all of the Crescent Colours and Sampler Threads to stitch it. Oh, and the graph of course. Just $34.50. Pretty-pretty. Every kit of the month this year will be a sampler...some old, some new. Join on and get the sampler every month, and your 12th month is free.




Fabric of the Month: I will be doing both 30 AND 35 count this year in SAMPLER COLORS. Some of these will be repeats from the past two years. But they're all sure to be perfect for your stash. $19.00/quarter yard -- make sure to tell me if you want 30 or 35 count, and you can get half, or whole yards as well. This month's color is Straw, as shown in "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm" by Heartstring Samplery above (charts still available for $10.00). I know it's warm outside -- but hey, winter is coming? Right? Right?!




Letters & Leaves is my free graph of the month by La D Da. You'll get the chart free with any order. I don't have a picture of the finished piece, so I posted a link to a blog where a stitcher has finished this one -- very cute! The original calls for 30 count Havana and two skeins of Needlepoint (black and green.) I like this red and white version much better, so if you want the kit of supplies to stitch this up, it's $8.40 (the fabric will be large enough for you to stitch it over one or over two -- 32 count.)


Other Specials/Noteworthy Items:

Stitcher's Six Packs are still, after 12 years, just $4.95. You get a six pack of linen/evenweave for small projects (and sometimes you get a nice big piece in there.) They're just leftovers that I like to pass on to good homes. You can also request an Aida pack for the same price.

CrAZy DaYS

ONE LOT: 80 skeins (47 different colors) Valdani hand-dyed/overdyed flosses. You get 10 yards per skein (so, this is 800 yards of thread!) I'm clearing out my inventory to make room for new threads. Lots of great sampler colors, and great for any stash. Normal price would be $180.00 -- $95.00 for first-taker (only one lot!)
